I just met Joe at Starbucks for an interview about my book. He’s posted an great story as a result on his blog: http: commotioninthepews.com
When I first started working in the voice over world a local children’s book author hired me to do the work on her interactive software. Entitled “Times Tables The Fun Way!” it was not only the best paying job I had that year, or the next, but also it forced me to do over twenty different voices for the work. I still love going to her website (www.citycreek.com) and listening to the samples. She made me a much better voice over talent with her kindness and expectations.

I just finished your book “Sunlight on My Shadow”. I am two yrs older than you, so I grew up in the same generation. Although I didn’t have a child out of wedlock, I thought you must have been on my shoulder during the early years when I was learning about sex. I must have been the most naive girl on the planet. I am proud of the way you grew to accept yourself. My favorite chapter was the last chapter when you came to understand the Holy Spirit. God Bless you.

Hi Judy, I’m just finishing my memoirs, I haven’t read this piece you wrote but I’m looking forward to it. I know I’ll have some tears because giving up a new born son in 1959 is part of my story. Aangel Search helped me find him a few years ago. It was a blessing. However, he doesnt want to create a relationship with me. His adoptive mother died just before I found him and he’s afraid to love me and then lose me. Understandable. I have three other sons that I’m in contact with often.
Here I go to read your story, my heart is pounding and it’s scarey but I know I need to do it. I’lll contact you again when I’m done reading it.
May God bless you,
Judy
Hi Judy,
So glad to hear you are writing your memoir. It’s been a healing journey for me and so glad to know others touched by adoption in the “olden days” are reading my story. I hope you don’t find it too sad. I found some light from writing and talking to others about my experience. No more secrets! so freeing. Good luck with your writing. Yes, please let me know what you think of the book. Thanks.
